Who I am

My practice centers on the inherent tension and harmony between the known world and the subconscious mind. As an oil painter, I use the medium to bridge the gap between tangible reality—represented by the grounded structure of portraiture—and the limitless scope of inner experience, achieved through abstract expression. My work aims to capture the essence of a subject not just as they appear, but as they are felt. Each canvas is an exploration of a deep sense of being present and grounded, while simultaneously dissolving into the perspective of a dreamer. Through color, texture, and fragmented form, I invite the viewer to find themselves in the space between the recognizable and the ethereal.
